1998년부터 36년간 가톨릭대학교 여의도성모병원 영양팀장으로 근무하였으며, 2013년부터 가톨릭대학교 식품영양학과 겸임교수로 재직해왔으며, 2024년부터 초빙교수로 재직하고 있다.
대한영양사협회 회장과 한국영양교육평가원 이사장을 역임하며, 영양사의 권익향상과 임상영양발전에 기여한 공로를 인정 받아 대통령표창을 받았고, 의료기관급식의 질 향상과 병원영양사 직무분석 및 적정배치 기준 등에 대한 연구 및 정책추진을 하고 있다.
Kim Hye-jin has worked as the leader of the nutrition team at the Catholic University of Korea's Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital for 36 years since 1988, has been an adjunct professor at the Catholic University of Korea's Department of Food Science and Nutrition since 2013, and has been a visiting professor since 2024.
She served as the president of the korean Dietetic Association and the chairperson of the Korean Institute of Dietetic Education and Evaluation, and was awared the Presidential Citation in recognition of her contributions to improving the rights and interests of dietitian and developing clinical nutrition.
She is conducting research and promoting policies on improving the quality of hospital foodservice management, analyzing jobs, and staffing needs and assessment tool of hospital dietitian.
